We believe that the best place for a young person to grow, heal, and develop is within their community. By investing in and promoting community-based mental health services, we aim to reduce the reliance on institutional placements. Our strategy focuses on global advocacy and policy reform as well as education and awareness.
For those youth who do require an out-of-home placement, we are committed to ensuring that these environments are safe, nurturing, and effective in addressing their needs. Our strategy includes establishing minimum safety standards, increasing transparency and oversight, and ensuring access to quality care.
A strong, community-based support system is the foundation for preventing youth institutionalization and ensuring that young people have the opportunity to thrive. Our strategy focuses on investing in community-based services and providing families with the tools, resources, and education they need to advocate for their needs.
